Nynaeve: We Design Clothes that add EXTRA Style & Comfort in your Life.

I am sure you have come here looking for summer denims. You are one of those born loyalists who cannot no matter what’s the temperature outside part ways with DENIM. We feel you! This is why we came up with Nynaeve, a brand that allows you to keep up with DENIM throughout the year.

What does that mean? That means we keep experimenting with fabrics to ensure you have stylish as well as comfortable denim wears for every season.

For example, now that the summer is at its all time high. The temperature outside in most Indian cities is breaking beyond 40 degree Celsius. Keeping that in mind, we have released an exclusive and brilliant collection of clothing crafted out of buttery soft Tencel or Lyocell Denim.

But before we go on to explaining more about the brand, I am sure you’d be curious to know what does Nynaeve stand for?

Nynaeve: What does it stand for and how did it get its name?

Our brand name is a representation of how we see women. While I am sure many of you would be acquainted with the famous Nynaeve from “Wheel of Time”. For those who don’t know her, she is a leading character from the “Wheel of Time”, a TV series based on Brandon Sanderson Novels.

In the series she is one of the most powerful and passionate women. She is full of wisdom and empathy. Her ability to act powerfully and at the same time show compassion for others while healing them with her professional prowess makes her a true icon of womanhood.

Nynaeve is for the Passionate, Stubborn, & High-Flying modern women!

At Nynaeve, we believe that Fashion isn't something a woman has to be influenced to agree to. It is rather a natural extension of herself that she adopts quite effortlessly. She  doesn't have to think twice before adorning it. It is easy-going & stylish, and makes heads turn.

This is what Priyanka had in mind before introducing our fabulous Summer Denim range. It's not the "denim" that is tight, sticks to your body, and gives you rashes. Instead, it is the "Denim" that embraces your curves in the most gentle way.

It fits softly and wonderfully on your body. What's amazing is that you can wear it inside and outside your house. Presenting to you the prettiest summer denim loungewear and sleepwear called Nynaeve.

Denim that can be worn interchangeably at Home-Work-Party

The entire concept of Nyneve is to design clothes that you can wear both at home and outside. We wanted to eliminate the concept of buying separate clothes for nightwear and loungewear. We wanted to create fashion that makes sense both in the bed and in a cafe with friends. To make it happen we had to fuse two very important elements in our fabric and designs- Comfort and Style.

  • Our clothes are made out of extra soft and light-weight denim fabric that allows your body to breathe and move freely.
  • The fabric has a natural glaze to it that makes tencel denim look rich and exquisite.
  • We offer a wide range of in-fashion trendy clothing such as sleep shirts, Flared Pants, Dresses, Jumpsuits, Pajamas etc.
  • Don’t have to change your night suits in the morning to go to the park or for a walk because our nightwears are as stylish as our loungewear.

Our nightwears are really stylish. They can be worn outside as well. Plus, the fabric and the stitching is so comfortable that you can sleep or dance or party in the same night suit throughout the day.

Is Lyocell the same as Cotton?

The major difference between Lyocell and cotton is that Lyocell is obtained from natural materials such as the cellulose present in the Paul of eucalyptus or oak trees. And it is then processed into fiber with the help of a closed loop process. Whereas, cotton is a natural fibre. Both cotton and Lyocell are known to produce the softest and most comfiest of clothings.

However, they still are different in multiple ways

Differences

Lyocell

Cotton

Softness

Feels buttery soft from day one.

Feels crisp in the beginning;  gets softer with prolonged usage.

Texture

Has a natural gloss to it that makes its fabric look brand new even after multiple washes or usage.

Doesn’t shine.

Maintenance

Doesn’t look too wrinkled even when piled up tightly as it naturally possess anti-crease properties.

Low-grade cotton wrinkles too quickly.

Moisture Absorption

It’s cool and breathable and maintains body temperature by absorbing moisture. It is supposed to be 50% more absorbent than cotton.

While cotton is Cool and breathable, it doesn’t have moisture absorption properties.

Another top-notch reason why Lyocell is a smart choice is because its fabric is hypoallergenic, which means it is skin friendly and doesn’t cling to the skin even during extreme summers or sweating. It is the perfect choice for people with sensitive skin who get rashes easily.

These are some of the major reasons Lyocell clothing is usually priced higher than low-grade cotton. However, if you were to compare it with high grade cotton, the prices are usually on the same level.

How to care for your Tencel/Lyocell Denim?

Most of our denims are a soft & comfortable blend of cotton and Lyocell. Taking care of them is easy. The fabric combines 63% cotton and 37% Lyocell to promise a comfortable and stylish fit.

Taking care of Our Fabric:

  • Lower temp washes and delicate spin cycles will help protect the colour, shape, and structure of the material.
  • You can either wash them with your hands or washing machine. Just handle them delicately.
  • Gently steam or iron at a medium setting. (Neither too hot nor too cold)
  • Don’t use any bleach or harsh stain remover to clean them. Instead, wash the stains away with cold or warm water, immediately.

It is important to follow these instructions to ensure your tencel denim stays in the best of the shape for long.

Wrapping up

Nyneve is crafting clothes for the modern independent Indian women. These clothes are a representation of their own self. We do not believe in influencing people to acquire a clothing taste that we create. Instead, we look at the problems people face and the aspirations they care about, and accordingly experiment with our fabric, designs, and clothing.
